Early inscriptions and autographs on front flyleaf recto: Theodore Parker, Johann Fabricius ("Pro M. Ioanni Frabricio, 1570"), and David Fabricius ("Nunc Filius h[abe]t[?] M. David Fabricius"). Ink stamp of Garrigue and Christern. BPL embossed stamp on first leaf of main text. Full-page manuscript table of contents on verso. Early/contemporary marginalia throughout. Acquired via bequest, May 1881.
BINDING: Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) copy Q.403.14 FOLIO halfbound in early/contemporary tawed skin over wooden boards. Early/contemporary brass catchplate on upper cover. Lower cover partially restored with modern cherry board. Spine rebacked in modern brown goatskin. Spine lined in medieval manuscript waste.
